At Høyt Under Taket in Sem, just outside Tønsberg, the whole family can try climbing. With colourful climbing walls, bouldering and indoor climbing trails for different ability levels, there's plenty to explore. You don't need any previous climbing experience – just a willingness to give it a go.
Climbing for beginners and experienced climbers
The climbing centre has traditional climbing walls, bouldering areas and automatic belay systems, also known as autobelays. These allow you to climb without someone belaying you from the ground. Before you start, you'll receive the necessary training on how to use the equipment. Test your balance, take on a new route and discover how high you're willing to climb.
Adventure climbing for the whole family
Looking for something beyond traditional climbing walls? Høyt Under Taket offers colourful themed walls and indoor Via Ferrata routes with obstacles and challenges along the way. The routes have different height requirements, giving younger and older visitors opportunities to find a suitable challenge. Perhaps the children will be the first to reach the top?
Climbing as a regular activity
Høyt Under Taket offers climbing courses and organised groups for children and teenagers who want to climb regularly. Participants can develop their technique, become more confident on the wall and meet others who share their interest. The centre also offers courses for adults who want to learn more about climbing and belaying.
Birthday parties and group climbing
Birthday celebrations don't always have to take place around the dining table. At Høyt Under Taket, children can combine climbing with food and celebrations in a dedicated birthday area. The centre also offers activities for school classes, groups of friends, clubs, associations and businesses. Group sessions can cater for beginners and experienced climbers alike.
