Søndre Sikksakk and Lallahompen
Explore a historic walking trail in Holmestrand, with beautiful views of the town and Breiangen.
Søndre Sikksakk, also known as Søndre Zikkzakk, follows an old hillside route used for centuries. Originally established as a walking path in 1889, the trail reopened in June 2026 following extensive restoration and safety improvements.
The steep, winding trail features stone walls built using historic hand-cut stones from Holmestrand’s former railway line. Along the way, a short detour leads to the Lallahompen viewpoint, offering beautiful views of the town and fjord.
The 300-metre trail runs from Sangen og Musikkens Hus on Nyveien to Fløyveien, with an elevation gain of 44 metres. Allow approximately one hour. The walk is moderately challenging, with steep sections and gradients exceeding 10%. The recommended season is March to November.
