Motorhome Parking Areas in Tønsberg
Tønsberg Municipality offers four centrally located motorhome parking areas, each with its own advantages, whether you prefer beachfront surroundings, easy access to the town centre, or a peaceful base for exploring the area. Please note that these parking areas are for motorhomes only (caravans are not permitted).

Skallevold
Skallevold is the largest motorhome parking area in Tønsberg and enjoys a scenic seaside location. It is within easy walking distance of a sandy beach, playground and coastal trail, making it ideal for families and visitors who want to stay close to nature.

Capacity: 50 motorhomes
Open: 24 hours a day, daily through August 2026
Facilities: Electricity on site, fresh water, toilet waste disposal, waste disposal. Public toilets are available at Skallevold Beach.

Fjordgaten
Fjordgaten is a quiet and sheltered motorhome parking area located close to the town centre. From here, it is only a seven-minute walk to the city centre, while the nature trail leading to the Ilene Nature Reserve is just nearby.

Storgaten
Storgaten is a convenient choice for visitors who want to stay close to shops, restaurants and cultural attractions. A grocery store and public swimming pool are located right next to the parking area.

Open: From 15 March throughout the summer season, 24 hours a day
Facilities: Electricity at all pitches, fresh water and waste disposal. Toilet waste disposal is available at Stensarmen 9.

Stensarmen
Stensarmen is beautifully located by the entrance channel to Tønsberg, offering excellent sun exposure and sea views. The town centre, Brygga waterfront, Slottsfjellet and several of the city's attractions are all within walking distance.

Verdens Ende Camping

Verdens Ende camping, "the World’s End Camping", is an old and traditional camping, with a short distance to "the World’s End" Guest Harbor and swimming spots in Tjøme.

The camping offers 50 fixed places for permanent visitors, many have lived here for years.

Further it has 15 cabins, all different sizes. The small cabin 9 m2, with two beds and short distance to the sanitary installation. The big cabins is 42 m2, with 2 bedrooms with 6 beds and bathroom. In addition, it is a cabin that is 120 m2 with a very high standard, and 10 beds. All cabins and camping spots can be booked at Verdens Ende Camping.

At Verdens Ende Camping there are 15-20 motorhome parking spaces,and plenty of space for caravans and tents for a short stay.

Verdens Ende Cafe (pub and kiosk) is open during the summer season. Homemade food and drinks are offered at good prices.The cafe offers the possibility to arrange an event for 40 people.

There is many attractions and activities around the area:

x Visitor Center Færder National Park, on the southern tip of Tjøme

x Torås Fort contains a museum for visitors interested in war history

x Færder National Park both on shore and in water.

x Tjøme golf club (2×9 holes), 3 km away

x Nøtterø golf club (18 holes), 15 km away

x Swimming spots within walking distance Grepan, Verdens Ende (the World's End), Mostranda and by Havna Hotel.

Holmestrand Motorhome parking

Holmestrand motorhome parking is beautifully located by the waterfront in Holmestrand, within walking distance of the town centre, restaurants, and local attractions.
The site offers 42 pitches and includes facilities for fresh water refill, disposal of toilet and grey water, and waste disposal. During the main season, toilets and showers are also available.

The area includes modern service facilities and a breakwater with a swimming area.
Season: 1 June – 15 September

Harbour hosts are based at the harbuor office, this is the sign and is located in Tordenskjoldsgate.

Solsiden Bobilpark – Caravan Parking

With 20 pitches, modern facilities and a short distance to the town centre, the Caravan Park Solsiden is an ideal base for your holiday along the Vestfold coast.

Solsiden Bobilpark is located in one of Vestfold’s most charming summer towns and is well suited for those seeking a calm and convenient place to stay. Here, you can experience Stavern from your own motorhome, with the sea, town centre and a variety of restaurants and attractions close by.

The motorhome park is within walking distance of Stavern centre, Fredriksvern Fortress and the scenic coastal path.

Thorrud Camping

The campsite Thorrud Camping is located by the idyllic Lake Eikern in Eidsfoss outside of Holmestrand. A quiet family campsite with a small playground, bouncy castle and water trampoline out in the lake. Here you can take a swim, fish and relax.

Thorrud Camping has 130 permanent pitches for seasonal guests, but also pitches with electricity for visitors with caravans, motorhomes and tents.

Season from 1of May to 15th of September.

The area around the campsite is forest and hills with forest roads that are nice for walking and cycling.

The owners are Andreas and Kjersti Fleischer.

Motorhome parking Stavern Folkehøyskole

The motorhome parking il located at the area of Stavern Folkehøyskole in scenic and surroundings, close to the beaches, marked coastal trails, cafés and restaurants. On site there are large green areas, playground and sand volleyball court.

On-site facilities include emptying, water refilling and electricity.

Season from May 15 to August 20
NB! Closed some weeks due to. private events / camps.

The parking is run by Stavern Folkehøyskole (the school) with long experience. For more than ten years, the school has been used for large events throughout the summer season.

Dal Gjestegaard – camping

Dal Gjestegaard (guest house) is idyllically located at Skoppum, 6 minutes by car from Horten.

The area has together 46 cabins and bungalows for 2 – 8 people. 22 of the cabins are all year round rentals.

The Camping has a grocery store and a cafe & summer restaurant with outdoor seating. The summer restaurant serves typical food such as pizza, street food and offers take away. The restaurant is open for everyone. The Camping has its own beach with a floating dock, and only a 5 minute walk from Rakke with smooth rocks.

Solplassen has 2 sanitary installations, each with their own washing machines and tumble dryers.

The area
Stavern city centre is not far from the camping area. Stavern is a summer city with visitors from all over the country. Stavern offers exhibitions throughout the summer.

Solplassen is surrounded by beautiful nature, with a coastal path is nearby. The coastal path goes from Stavern to Helgeroa with a distance of 35 km through nature, beach and smooth rocks. In brunlanes you will find incredible Mølen, which is a part of UNESCO’s global geopark.

Fishing
Larvik has a coastline covering 123 km with good fishings spots. Fish from shore or off a boat the choice is yours. Larvik also has one of Norways best salmon rivers, Numedalslågen.

The archipelago of Rakke is a Eldorado for divers, both professionals and amateurs. There is alot to see, such as 80 shipwrecks.
