Student Exhibition

Student Exhibition

As part of the redevelopment of Slottsfjell Museum’s entrance hall and café area, children and young people have played an active role in shaping the museum of the future. Through workshops, educational projects and participatory activities, students from Færder and Sandefjord Upper Secondary Schools, along with children from Tillas Nature Kindergarten and Barnas Have Kindergarten, shared their ideas and perspectives.

The result is an exhibition showcasing the creative process through sketches, drawings, photographs, mood boards, graphic illustrations and 3D models. The exhibition offers insight into how children and young people envision a museum they want to visit, explore and return to.

Hillestad church

The church is built on the site of an earlier medieval stave church.

The church features several historic furnishings, including an altarpiece from 1647, a pulpit from 1636, and a baptismal font dating from 1725. The current tower, sacristy, and windows were added during a renovation in 1911, while the church exterior was restored in 2009.
