Set around 1987, the film explores the period when Michael Jackson took creative control of his career and embarked on his first world tour. It portrays both the musical achievements that made him a legend and the personal struggles behind the spotlight.
Through pivotal moments in his career, the film offers a portrait of the artist, the perfectionist and the man behind the myth. Michael is produced by Graham King (Bohemian Rhapsody) and directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Equalizer).
