Stavern Dive Center performs all types of diving services, search and salvage as well as various boat services.

Diving equipment and boat supplies and own service workshop are sold in the store.

Offers PADI diving courses and diving trips all year round.

Bedehuset

The restaurant is dedicated to good ingredients, preferably local. Here, honest food is served, made by conscious, dedicated and inspired chefs. The menu is therefore governed by seasonality and availability of raw materials. Bedehuset even has its own IPA, brewed exclusively for the Bedehuset.

The unique building from 1875 was respectfully converted from a prayer house to a restaurant in 2013. Now people gather around good food and drinks here.

It is recommended to book a table! You will find the opening hours on Bedehuset's website.

The artworks are comossoned by ByLab, Culture Sports and leisure, and Area plan in Larvik municipality. In addition to Sparebankstiftelsen DNB, the business community in Larvik has contributed to the project.

Thor Heyerdahl –  Was demolished in connection to building the new Grandkvartalet. The new artwork can be found at Quality Hotel Grand Larvik.

Antonio Bibalo – Parking lot at the top of Bøkestredet, Øvre Bøkeligate. (The mural was painted over in the summer of 2024 due to poor condition , and construction plans. The artists hope to have the opportunity to paint Bibalo elsewhere in the town).

The Solplassen café & summer restaurant has outdoor seating and all rights.

Restaurant menu with pizza, fast food and take away.

The restaurant is open to everyone.

Open every day during the school's Easter and summer holidays, as well as all weekends from Easter until 11 September.

Ingris isbar

The ice cream shop, Ingris isbar, offers every taste of ice cream you can image.

The milkshakes is made in the old fashion way, where you can choose what ice cream you’d like.

Stolpejakten Vestfold

Stolpejacht is a non-profit association that will contribute to increased physical activity among people, an offer that will activate both young and old; inactive people, school students, cyclists, disabled people and wheelchair users – or those who simply want to get to know the city and district better.

Padleled Vestfold og Telemark

In Vestfold you can paddle along marked and adapted routes of varying difficulty from Svelvik in the north to Larvik in the south.

Several padle huts have been built along the paddle trail, so-called "padlehuker". These huts are open for everyone and vary in size and design. In Færder municipality, you will find the paddle huts at Ildverket and at Østre Bolærne. In Larvik municipality, you will find two paddle hooks on Vestre Bramskjæra, and a smaller model on Ølbergholmen. A paddle hut has also been set up on the old railway route in Holmestrand.

Different types of courses are arranged for you as a beginner and you who have paddling experience. Vestfold is a perfect starting point for paddlers with beautiful skerries.

The project has been initiated by the county municipalities in Vestfold and Telemark, and is being carried out in collaboration with the coastal municipalities. Padleled Vestfold and Telemark will contribute to everyone finding suitable and safe trips to paddle along the beautiful Vestfold coast, through marking, signage, establishment of simple accommodation and other facilities.

Color Line Hirtshals – Larvik

The ferry uses only 3 hours and 45 minutes from Hirtshals to Larvik.

Swimming spots in Lake Farris

Swimming spots in Lake Farris
There are many great swimming spots in Lake Farris. Both beach and soft rocks to relax on and jump in the water from. Going for a late night swim at the end of the summer is something magical. The evening sun will last longer and you will see a beautiful sunset. Lake Farris has many small islands, such as Eikenesøya and Bjørnøya. These are perfect destinations for kayakers.

20 km long lake
Lake Farris has a total area of 22 km2. It is for the most part in Larvik, with 20km from the Larvik fjord to the south and all the way north where it meets Siljan. Lake Farris has clean and clear water, and it provides drinking water to over 170 000 people.

 

The swimming spots
Most of the swimming spots are only available through walking or cycling, some only with a boat or kayak.

Here are some popular swimming spots in Lake Farris:

Jomfruhalvøya
Also called Kilenhalvøya. There is no beach, however the Svaberg (Soft rock/mountain) as many popular spots to swim. On the edge of the island is Verdens ende (The World's End).

Kattestranda
A nice sandy beach at Framnesodden. The area is family-friendly and accessible for wheelchair users. Toilets are available on site. The well-known Padlerhytta sells waffles a couple times a week.  

Delesand
This may be the nicest beach in Farris. It is a little hideaway and is a bit far away from the road. Delesand is shallow and family-friendly area. The beach is a perfect endpoint after a cycling trip.

Roppestad
A popular swimming spot with Svaberg (Soft rock/mountain) and a nice green area to run around. Toilets are available. Roppestad is loved for its paths and areas to go for a walk.
