KORK with Christian Tetzlaff and Holly Choe

Christian Tetzlaff is the soloist when the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, KORK, performs Felix Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto. Holly Choe is chief conductor.

Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto is a central work in the violin repertoire and takes the spotlight in the first part of the concert. Tetzlaff has previously performed with KORK and returns as soloist for this programme.

The programme also features Symphony No. 2 by Swedish composer and organist Elfrida Andrée. A significant figure in Swedish musical life in the 19th century, Andrée’s symphonic music forms the second part of the concert.

Mozart’s Requiem at Larvik Church

In 2026, Tønsberg Cathedral Choir celebrates its 20th anniversary with a concert during All Saints’ weekend.

The programme features Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem, a major work of classical sacred music, and Joseph Haydn’s Te Deum, a festive work for choir and orchestra.

All Saints’ weekend is traditionally a time for remembrance and reflection, as well as hope. Mozart’s Requiem brings a solemn and contemplative character to the concert, while Haydn’s Te Deum adds a contrasting musical expression.

The anniversary concert brings the two works together at Larvik Church and marks 20 years of Tønsberg Cathedral Choir.

Et møte mellom unge talenter og etablerte musikere

This concert brings together young musicians from Vestfold and established performers on the same stage.

Gabriella Sabbah and the Brezza Quartet perform alongside the Vestfold Youth String Orchestra. The orchestra brings together young string players from across Vestfold and is conducted by David Foster Pilkington. Violinist Laurens Weinhold and pianist Julie Ye also perform with the orchestra.

Several of the young musicians are former prize winners of the Midgard Competition in Horten, a competition for musicians aged 8 to 25.

The concert gives young performers the opportunity to play alongside established musicians and meet an audience in the same concert hall, with strings, quartet and piano featured throughout the programme.

Anders gjør JOKKE – konsert/ Redninga Scene

Anders Kareliussen brings his guitar to Redninga in Horten for an acoustic concert featuring songs by Jokke, also known as Joachim Nielsen.

Using guitar and vocals as his starting point, Kareliussen performs both well known and lesser known songs from Jokke’s catalogue, giving them his own musical interpretation.

Jokke is regarded as an important figure in Norwegian rock, with songs exploring everyday life, relationships, alienation and the challenges of life.

The evening offers an intimate acoustic interpretation of his music, for both longtime fans and those discovering Jokke’s songs for the first time.
