Exhibition 24 February – 30 September 2026
The exhibition explores how the concept of home has taken on a new and expanded meaning for the Ukrainian people following Russia’s full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022.
Several generations of Ukrainian artists present photography in a variety of expressions – from documentary black-and-white to staged and manipulated images. The works highlight key events in recent Ukrainian history, including the miners’ protests of the 1990s, the Revolution of Dignity, the annexation of Crimea, and the ongoing war.
The exhibition conveys both historical perspectives and personal stories of belonging, displacement, and the experience of losing – and finding – a home.
