Welcome to an atmospheric Christmas concert featuring Øyvind Kristiansen and Jonas Kilmork Vemøy, presenting new interpretations of Christmas hymns through a blend of jazz, classical music and electronica.
The concert explores the themes of joy and hope found in the Christmas message, while also leaving room for reflection on the world around us. Electronic textures meet acoustic instruments, creating a musical landscape that moves between calm, contemplative passages and more unsettled moments.
KRISTIANSEN & VEMØY began their collaboration at Kulturkirken Jakob in Oslo and have so far released three albums. Øyvind Kristiansen performs on keyboards and programming, while Jonas Kilmork Vemøy plays trumpet and electronics.
The concert is based on the album Hymns for Shepherds and Kings, which has received attention from Norwegian publications including Dagsavisen, Nettavisen and Vårt Land.
