At Treventyret, children can explore woodworking, tools, and their own creativity in a safe and inspiring environment. The workshop is located in the old school building at Grindløkken School and offers hands-on activities where children can build, shape, and create their own small wooden projects.

The activities are suitable for families, schools, kindergartens, after-school programs (SFO), and events, and are designed to foster a sense of achievement, curiosity, and creative expression. Here, craftsmanship, play, and learning are combined in a way that gives children a unique and memorable experience.
Treventyret offers, among other things:

Amigos Playland

Amigos Playland is an indoor activity center of approx. 1,500 sqm for families with children and others with responsibility for children. Amigos Playland is located on Ås outside Tønsberg, right by the E18.

At Amigos Playland, the children get to strengthen their motor skills and test their skills. Children can climb, slide, crawl, balance, explore and discover. Here the challenges are in line and the children experience a positive feeling of mastery. But most importantly for the kids; Playland is FUN!

The Amigos Playland play area is adapted for children aged 0 to approx. 99 years. The entrance ticket purchased is valid all day.

From 0-3 years old
There is a separate department adapted for children aged 0-3 years. In the play area for the little ones there are large soft blocks to climb, swing or slide on, two walls with puzzles, ball pool, building blocks, slides, tricycles and more.

From 3 years old
Here the children can frolic in challenging activities: long double slide with waves, spiral slide, spider tower, several obstacle courses, electric cars, trampolines, sports arena, balance board, softball cannon arena, donuts slide and more.

Children only have access with adults (minimum 16 years), and it is the adults' responsibility to ensure that the children follow the rules for the facilities. All play equipment is secured and approved according to Norwegian laws and regulations.

Laser tag
Amigo's Playland also offers Laser Tag. Laser tag is a fun game for 2 to 12 players. The participants are divided into 2 teams and you are given a pistol with a blue or green color. The game itself takes place in a separate room with exciting music and lights, where you play rounds of 12 minutes, where the purpose is to get the most points for yourself by hitting the opponents with laser beams. Since you shoot laser light, Laser tag is completely painless and only play and fun, and is best suited from about 7 years old. Children from the age of 5 can participate with adults.

Wipe Out
This is an activity for slightly older children from 6 years. You have to jump or duck when the arms pass.

Café
Amigo's Playland has a good selection of food and drink for both young and old. When the children play, the adults can relax, eat, read or surf in the café section.

Birthday party at Amigos Playland
Amigos Playland has 3 different birthday rooms with different themes. Choose between pirate, sea princess and disco room. In the birthday rooms, food and drinks are served to order, and a birthday host can assist during the celebration. After a nice time together in the birthday room, 
there is free play for as long as you want in the playground. The birthday child also receives his or her very own birthday gift. You bring your own cake or order from Amigos Playland. Forget washing dishes, washing and cleaning, and long preparations. Rather sit down and relax in the cafe while the children celebrate to the fullest. It has never been easier to give your child an unforgettable birthday at Amigos Playland.

Marinemuseet – Navy Museum

Here you can explore the history of the Navy and the Royal Norwegian Navy from the dissolution of the Kalmar Union all the way to today’s Norwegian Special Operations Command.

The museum offers unique exhibitions, including the “Old Department”, housed in the original exhibition hall from 1864.

The Naval Museum is also an exciting destination for families. Experience history up close through large vessels, cannons, and maritime artefacts, and enjoy the special opportunity to board both the gunboat KNM Blink and the submarine KNM Utstein. Bring the whole family to explore narrow cabins, technical solutions, and everyday life at sea during the Cold War.

 

 

Herregården

The building was built in 1674 and was finished in 1677 just in time for Gyldenløve’s third wedding. “Herregården” stands as an example of continental 17th century baroque architecture in Norway, the building was also influenced by Norwegian building traditions. The building was protected in 1923, and it’s now a part of Larvik Museums.

In the east wing there’s a café that sells coffee and pancakes. And on the first floor there is remains of an old classroom as it once were used as a school.

The museum is closed during the summer 2025 due to renovation.

The museum is open every day in summer season from the mid og June to the mid of August. With fun activities for families and a chance to experience the counts life. While walking around the building a guide will tell you all the stories of the counts.

Except the summer season, Herregården is open to the public by appointment. Events take place throughout the year, but only on special occasions in the winter.

Midgard Viking Centre

Midgard Viking Centre has interesting and exciting exhibitions which shows different aspects of the history. There are playgrounds where both kids and adults can try some Viking games and activities, such as bow and arrow and log games.       

The Borre burial mounds
Midgard Viking Centre is situated near the Borre burial mounds, which form one of Norway’s most important cultural heritage sites. It was in use between the year 600 and 900 after Christ. This historical place played a central role in Europe’s Viking history. Experience Viking history, based on archeological knowledge, through your senses. Visit the great Viking Hall of Borre as well. The areas fresh and nice nature plus the historical factors makes this a popular destination for everyone interested in history. The Viking hall "Gildehallen"
In 2013 the Viking hall was opened at Midgard. The hall is a magnificent reconstruction of one of the Viking’s major party halls/rooms.

Big parts of the building are built by hand and with time appropriate tools, beautiful woodcarvings to show that the Vikings extraordinary woodcarvings are not forgotten. The guides have insight on all the exciting details of the building and the Vikings.

You have the opportunity to experience the Viking age and see it come alive. Serving time appropriate food with groceries from close by. You get stories about the food and drink, the Viking hall and Borre, and any questions you may have, answered.

Midgard Viking Centre offers activity days where you can experience the Vikings age, there is also possible to arrange activities for groups such as crafts, cooking, bow and arrow etc.

The café has a beautiful view over the Borre burial mounds​​​​​​​ and an auditorium for lectures and conferences.

Larvik museum

Larvik Museum is the historically rich and exciting town museum in Larvik!

Visit Herregården and the maritime museum.

​​​Larvik Museum is the town museum in Larvik with two arenas for visitors. Verksgården in the historic quarter Hammerdalen is an old, industrial site now converted into a heritage site with various cultural and business activities, and Herregården, the mansion built by Danish count Gyldenløve between 1674 and 1677.

In addition, Larvik Museum has passed on knowledge about Kaupang, first city in Norway, since excavations of the area around the extinct city started outside Larvik in the year 2000.

The thematic core of Larvik Museum activities is the historic period of Danish rule in Norway, when Larvik was one of two Danish royal counties in Norway (1537-1814). This historic era put its mark on Larvik with regard to industrial development, architecture and social structure. With this period as a backdrop, the museum intends to develop web-based research and display exhibitions on the Larvik community of today. 

NB! Larvik Museum moves from Verksgården to Gamle Mesterfjellet school. All museum operations at Langestrand have been discontinued, and the exhibitions are being moved. The new exhibitions at Gamle Mesterfjellet School will be up in 2024 at the earliest.

The Aluminum Museum conveys the properties of the metal and Holmestrand's history in a national and global perspective. The Aluminum Museum in Holmestrand welcome an exhibition as modern and forward-looking as the aluminum industry is. The Aluminum Museum, which is a department of the Vestfold Museums, opened in 2002 and is the only one in Norway to have told the rich Norwegian tradition of further processing aluminum. The museum also communicates the industry's value chain and product development from the very beginning to today's high-tech business.

In an exciting exhibition architectural environment with parallels to innovation and development, the metal's properties and Holmestrand's history are communicated in a national and global perspective.

Metro bowling

Metro bowling Sandefjord is located at Pindsle, 3 km from the town centre.

It is possible to have railing on all the courts, which makes it easier for children.

During the weekends the music is turned up, the lights are dimmed and music videos are playing on the screens.
