Exhibition Programme – Autumn 2026

5 September – 27 September
Collecting Material
Opening: Saturday 5 September, 12:00 PM

Teresa Puig is a Spanish artist living and working in Norway. Her work explores how natural materials change over time, reacting, decomposing and transforming through slow and often invisible processes. Drawing on her background as a laboratory technician in botany, geology, chemistry and anthropology, Puig has developed a strong interest in the behaviour of matter.

In this exhibition, she investigates how flowers, textiles and stone change when wrapped, left to decay and later uncovered. By working with discarded flowers, she places the process itself at the centre, revealing how materials break down, react and leave traces behind. These traces become tangible imprints of a life cycle and demonstrate how change is embedded within the materials themselves.

3 October – 25 October
Knut Løvås

Opening: Saturday 3 October, 12:00 PM

Knut Løvås is one of Norway’s most recognised newspaper illustrators and graduated from the Bergen National Academy of Art and Design. For nearly twenty years, he has worked as an illustrator for the newspaper Klassekampen.

Løvås is known for visual narratives that comment on contemporary society, often focusing on politics and human relationships. Rather than offering clear-cut answers, his works invite interpretation and reflection. He encourages viewers to pause, ask questions and consider their own perspectives without being told what to think.

31 October – 22 November
A Master Turns 80

Opening: Saturday 31 October, 12:00 PM

On 18 September, artist Åke Berg celebrates his 80th birthday. Still active and creatively engaged, he has no plans to put down his paintbrush. This major retrospective exhibition presents highlights from his long artistic career and showcases the breadth of his work.

For the full exhibition programme and more information, visit the Larvik Art Association website.
