Øyvind Kristiansen (piano and programming) and Jonas Kilmork Vemøy (trumpet and electronics) present their pre-Christmas concert Hymns for Shepherds and Kings at Larvik Church.
The duo offers new interpretations of Christmas hymns, drawing inspiration from classical, contemporary and jazz music. Piano and trumpet meet electronic textures in a musical expression that moves between calm and more unsettled passages.
The concert explores the themes of joy and hope associated with Christmas, while also leaving room for reflection on the world we live in.
KRISTIANSEN & VEMØY began their collaboration at Kulturkirken Jakob in Oslo and have released three albums: Hymns of Compassion (2021), Hymns of Longing (2022) and Hymns for Shepherds and Kings (2024).

The Dublin Legends continue the musical legacy of The Dubliners with classics such as “The Wild Rover” and “Whiskey in the Jar”. Rooted in Irish folk music, the group brings a repertoire of well-known songs that has been performed for audiences around the world.
Although The Dubliners are no longer active as a group, their music continues through The Dublin Legends. The current line-up features Sean Cannon (guitar and vocals), Paul Watchorn (banjo and vocals), Gerry O'Connor (fiddle and banjo) and Shay Kavanagh (guitar and vocals).
The group has also welcomed a new member, James Cannon, son of Sean Cannon. James performs alongside his father and brother Robert as part of the trio The Cannons, known for their blend of folk and country.
Sean Cannon has a long history with The Dubliners and joined the group in 1983, taking over from Luke Kelly. Gerry O'Connor also has a direct connection to the original line-up, joining in 2012 after Barney McKenna.
The concert features songs from The Dubliners' extensive repertoire and celebrates music that has become an important part of Irish folk tradition.
The stand-up show premiered at Nieu Scene in Oslo on 6 November 2025. After 11 sold-out performances in the capital, Helene has taken the show to audiences across Norway. In 2027, she returns to Tønsberg, where she has lived and worked during several periods.
In “Men har du prøvd yoga?”, Helene draws on her own experiences. A fall on the ice had greater consequences than she initially expected, taking her life in an unexpected direction.
With self-irony and humour, she talks about illness, life crises, major changes and the search for solutions when life does not turn out as planned. The show also explores all the well-intentioned advice people receive when things get difficult – and finding ways to live with what cannot be changed.
Helene uses humour to address topics we do not always talk openly about, inviting the audience on a personal journey from hoping that everything will simply “get better” to finding new ways of dealing with life.
“Men har du prøvd yoga?” is a stand-up show about stumbling through life, facing adversity and trying to get back on your feet with your sense of humour intact.

OmLivet Day brings people together for a festival featuring inspiring talks, conversations, interviews and cultural performances. The programme also includes stands, book signings and opportunities to view and purchase art.
The Artillery Workshop in Horten provides the setting for the event, with an informal festival atmosphere and spaces where visitors can sit down, meet others and share conversations. There will also be opportunities to take part in simple yoga and mindfulness sessions during the breaks.
Food and drinks can be purchased from Kaffebaren Trakteren, offering both lunch and dinner. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own packed lunch.
