Åsmund Seip is a poet, artist, designer and filmmaker. During this afternoon event at Eidsfos Manor, he combines spoken word poetry, personal stories and a talk.
Drawing on his own experiences and stories, Seip explores themes such as vulnerability, strength and community.
The ticket includes a drink and a small bite to eat.
Kent Erik Thorvaldsen has performed traditional blues for many years, bringing his own approach with Norwegian lyrics, stories, humour and a personal style.
His album SUGG was nominated for the Norwegian Grammy Awards, known as Spellemannprisen. For this evening, he is joined by Albert Thorvaldsen, Øyvind Stølefjell, Bjørn Rønneberg and Ole Bjørn Bonstad.
The evening features blues exploring themes of love, hardship and release. The bar is open throughout the evening, and the café serves the house chilli con carne.
How are economics and democracy connected? The way an economy is organised influences both the values a society is built on and the public services people rely on in everyday life.
This edition of “Our Society”, a programme series at Sandefjord Library, explores how economic models and political choices affect the welfare state and local communities.
Norway has gradually moved from a more state controlled economy towards a more market oriented model, with private actors taking on a larger role. What does this mean for services such as education, healthcare and elderly care? And how might economic choices shape the future development of Sandefjord?
The evening begins with a conversation between author and journalist Linn Stalsberg and researcher, author and university lecturer Ola Innset. They provide national perspectives on how economic changes affect the welfare state and society.
The focus then shifts to Sandefjord. Local group leaders from different political parties take part in a roundtable discussion about the issues from a local perspective. The discussion is moderated by Masoud Ghadimfallah, who holds a master’s degree in social analysis from the University of South Eastern Norway and works as a library consultant at Sandefjord Libraries.
The audience will also have an opportunity to ask questions and reflect on the topics together with the speakers.
6:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Conversation with Linn Stalsberg and Ola Innset
Linn Stalsberg is an author and journalist. In her book Det er nok nå, she examines how today’s economic system affects our lives socially, politically and personally.
Ola Innset is a researcher, author and university lecturer. In his book Kampen om verdiene, he examines how changes in the economy affect the welfare state and society.

Group leaders from different political parties in Sandefjord discuss the topics from a local perspective.
“Our Society” is an event series at Sandefjord Library focusing on democracy and current social issues at both national and local level.
The series brings together authors, researchers and local representatives with different perspectives for open discussions. Visitors are invited to listen, learn, ask questions and take part in the conversation.

Sjue Farm welcomes visitors to a seasonal closing event with aronia picking and an autumn market in collaboration with other organic producers.
The market offers local and organic products for autumn meals and cosy evenings. It is also an opportunity to experience the farm and the autumn season up close.
Join the Rosa Sløyfe Run in Tønsberg, with the main run starting at Andredammen and activities at Greveskogen Stadium.
At 11:00 AM, children aged 3 to 9 can take part in a free mini run at Greveskogen Stadium. A joint warm up starts at 10:50 AM.
The main Rosa Sløyfe Run starts at 12:00 PM. Participants can choose between approximately 2, 4 or 6 kilometres, corresponding to one, two or three laps.
By taking part, you support the Rosa Sløyfe campaign and breast cancer research, while showing support for people affected by breast cancer. You can participate by walking or running.

Lys i mørket is held for the 14th time at Karljohansvern in Horten. Ticket proceeds are donated to the Norwegian organisation LEVE.
The evening walk features a range of cultural contributions along the route, including theatre, choirs, bands, readings, folk songs, galleries and museums.
The Mayor opens the event at 7:00 PM, followed by a musical performance. The walk continues until the last possible exit from Ørnbrua at 9:00 PM. Cultural contributors finish packing up at 9:30 PM.

Build & Broth is a social fitness morning at Eidsfoss Manor, organised by Build & Burn. The event combines exercise, movement and socialising.
The morning starts with a welcome and juice, followed by Pilates and stretching. After the workout, soup is served for lunch.
Build & Burn focuses on fitness, movement and community, and organises events and pop ups at different locations. The events offer opportunities to meet new people, try different activities and connect with others through exercise.

Duo Unitas consists of saxophonist Heidi Christine Holm Stømer and pianist Kristina Socanski. The duo presents their album In a Landscape in a concert bringing together music from different periods and musical traditions.
The album takes its title from John Cage’s In a Landscape, a work that has been an important inspiration for the programme. The music encourages attentive listening, with a focus on changes in sound, time and detail.
The programme spans more than a century and includes works by Paule Maurice, Bjørn Kruse, Ragnar Søderlind, Marcus Paus and Johannes Brahms. The works represent different musical languages and create contrasting musical landscapes.
Heidi Christine Holm Stømer is a saxophonist with the Royal Norwegian Navy Band and has also performed with organisations including the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Norwegian National Opera. Kristina Socanski is a pianist educated at the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Royal Danish Academy of Music. She works as a soloist and chamber musician and has performed in Norway, Europe and the United States.
The concert also marks the release of Duo Unitas’s new album In a Landscape.
