Location
Between Stavern and Helgeroa, approximately 2 km from Stavern and approximately 10 km from Larvik. To Torp Airport and the ferry terminal in Sandefjord there is approximately 30 km.

Rooms and Outdoor Area
Rooms for 2-6 persons with shower/WC. All rooms have got a self-catering kitchen with all necessary equipment included. Two of the apartments are wheelchair accessible. Large outdoor area.  

Approximately 12 minutes walk to the coastal path, and excellent possibilities for bathing and swimming nearby

Newly renovated apartments, in cosy atmosphere just a few minutes off the E18, a short distance from Stavern, Larvik, Helgeroa and Nevlunghavn. Open all year!

The Area
Torp Airport, the Superspeed-ferry to Hirtshals and the four-lane highway ensure good connections for those travelling from far away. The ferry to Langesund is popular with the cycling tourists. Just a few minutes away you will find Omlidstranda, which is one of the areas most beautiful beaches. Larvik Golf Club, one of the country’s best golf courses, is located just around the corner.  

Activities
Bakkane Gård is a place where your children can play freely in a safe environment. The farm has a large outdoor area with lots of activities. Here you will find a large jumping pillow, outdoors chess, a football field and much more.

The Apartments
The apartments are newly renovated and well equipped. One spacious apartment accommodates up to 6 persons. Washer and drier is available. The outdoor area has garden furniture and grills available.

Grand Hotel Åsgårdstrand is situated only a one hour drive from Oslo and 30 minutes from Sandefjord Airport Torp. There are bus connections to Tønsberg from Oslo and from Tønsberg to Åsgårdstrand. The hotel has 78 large og newly refurbished rooms.

Åsgårdstrand is regarded as being an "artist's town" and a gem in eastern Norway. Edvard Munch's "The girls on the bridge" was painted just near the hotel.

Food and drink at the hotel
The restaurant is proud of its good cuisine, and offers a wide range of wines and is fully licensed. As a guest in the restaurant, you can enjoy panoramic views of Åsgårdstrand and the Oslo Fjord. During the summer months our outdoor terrace is open, where you also can enjoy a drink or a good meal.

In 2018 the new summer restaurant Grand Brygge opened at the pier.

Attractions and other things to do at the hotel
With the idyllic location of hotel, we recommend a stroll in Åsgårdstrand with the fjord as the backdrop. There are 150 meters to the nearest beach, and also walking distance to Edvard Munch's house. Nearby you will also find Lefdals Riding Centre and Midgard Viking Centre.

Gavelstad Gjestegård

The hotel has got 40 rooms with showers and WC, and can accomodate 100 guests in total.

The rooms are smart and redecorated, and the hotel has several parlours and lounges. The cosy dining room can seat 120 guests.

The apartments is year round rentals.

Langeby has 12 modern vacation apartments thats perfect for a family of 4-5 people.

The apartments are all facing west with a nice ocean view and a big terrace. The apartments is 50 m2 with 2 bedrooms, bathroom with toilet and shower, washing machine, a kitchen with a dishwasher.

It is equipped with cable TV, utensils in the kitchen, wireless internet, and possibility for barbeques on the terrace.

Linen and towels is for rent.

Cats and dogs are allowed in some of the apartments.

Swimming spots
Langeby offers a shallow beach covering 150 meters, as well as a smaller beach and over 400 meter of soft rocks.

Activities
Beach volleyball, Petanque Courts (Boules), frisbee court and a playground for the youngest.

Beautiful paths for walking/hiking with coastal paths, and not far from Folehavna.

Base camp for Sandefjord windsurfer club. Popular when its windy.

Sandefjord library has created a micro library at Langeby. The guests can borrow books for both warm and rainy days.

Strand

Strand has 20 large rooms for 3-4 persons with private bathroom, and 5 older cabins with simpler standard.

In total, the place has 176 beds and large and spacious newly renovated common areas that are well suited for both camp and conference.

Strand can serve everything from varied camp food to great party menus, and they are happy to tailor arrangements for your group.

Around Strand there is a large park with a football field, playground and a barbecue area which is well suited for most outdoor activities.

Solplassen Camping

The area has together 46 cabins and bungalows for 2 – 8 people. 22 of the cabins are all year round rentals.

The Camping has a grocery store and a cafe & summer restaurant with outdoor seating. The summer restaurant serves typical food such as pizza, street food and offers take away. The restaurant is open for everyone. The Camping has its own beach with a floating dock, and only a 5 minute walk from Rakke with smooth rocks.

Solplassen has 2 sanitary installations, each with their own washing machines and tumble dryers.

The area
Stavern city centre is not far from the camping area. Stavern is a summer city with visitors from all over the country. Stavern offers exhibitions throughout the summer.

Solplassen is surrounded by beautiful nature, with a coastal path is nearby. The coastal path goes from Stavern to Helgeroa with a distance of 35 km through nature, beach and smooth rocks. In brunlanes you will find incredible Mølen, which is a part of UNESCO’s global geopark.

Fishing
Larvik has a coastline covering 123 km with good fishings spots. Fish from shore or off a boat the choice is yours. Larvik also has one of Norways best salmon rivers, Numedalslågen.

The archipelago of Rakke is a Eldorado for divers, both professionals and amateurs. There is alot to see, such as 80 shipwrecks.
