At Grytebakke Gård in Sande, an old barn has been given a new lease of life. Today, it's a place to bring family, friends or colleagues together for everything from weddings and anniversaries to meetings, courses and company celebrations. With two different event spaces and the surrounding countryside just outside the door, there's plenty of room to make the occasion your own.
Two spaces, plenty of possibilities
On the ground floor, you'll find Salen, with room for up to 90 guests. The space includes tables and chairs, a fully equipped kitchen and an enclosed outdoor seating area overlooking the farmyard. Upstairs is Trevet, which accommodates around 40 people. With its own entrance, balcony and kitchenette, it's well suited to smaller celebrations and gatherings. You can hire the spaces separately or together. Why not start with dinner in Salen before heading upstairs to Trevet for dancing?
Food and arrangements, your way
Prefer to leave the cooking to someone else? Grytebakke Gård works with Gran Søndre to provide catering for events, but you're equally welcome to arrange the food yourself. The farm can also help with waiting staff, drinks and table settings if needed. Crockery, glassware and serving equipment are available, with tablecloths and napkins offered for hire. Both spaces are equipped with a sound system, microphone and projector.
From family celebrations to team gatherings
Grytebakke Gård also welcomes businesses for meetings, courses and team-building activities. It's a chance to bring colleagues together in a countryside setting, combining a productive day with good food and activities around the farm.
Between sessions, guests can enjoy a break in the park, get some fresh air or meet the farm animals. Children must be accompanied by an adult when visiting the animals.
