For the first time since I kveld med Ylvis, Vegard, Bård and Calle are sharing the stage again. In November and December, they are taking their Christmas show on tour, built around a podcast that does not exist. On 22 December, they come to Hjertnes Kulturhus in Sandefjord.
The show combines music, conversation and improvisation, with instruments, new songs, stories and ideas from the trio.
Audiences can expect an evening of varied performances and spontaneous moments, with both music and conversation taking centre stage.
During the Christmas holiday, the Whaling Museum invites visitors to a creative workshop on the museum’s top floor.
Visitors can make their own New Year decoration while exploring the museum’s exhibitions.
The museum café serves freshly made waffles and hot drinks, and the workshop is suitable for visitors of all ages.
The workshop is included with museum admission.
Romjulsjammen is an evening of live music featuring local musicians on stage at Larvik Jazzklubb.
A skilled backing band provides the musical foundation, joined by guest musicians who help get the jam session started. Throughout the evening, local musicians, both familiar and new faces, take to the stage.
The programme features vocalists, horn players and guitar solos, with music ranging from jazz and pop to soul. There will also be some Christmas music.
Midgard Viking Centre marks its opening for 2027 with a jóleblot in Gildehallen. Jóleblot was a midwinter celebration associated with the transition to a new year in Norse times.
Children can take part in activities including Viking themed face painting and making rune decorated bragebrikker. Visitors can also meet Vikings and experience the hall with its fire and activities.
Sausages are available for purchase and can be cooked over the fire inside the hall. Bringing your own food is not permitted.
At 3 pm, there will be a storytelling session. The day concludes with non alcoholic mead and a short blot ceremony led by the gydje. Visitors are invited to make their own brageløfter, personal promises about something they would like to accomplish in the coming year.
The family friendly event offers an introduction to Norse traditions through storytelling, crafts and activities.
Special event admission prices apply, and the event is not included with annual passes.
