The Basseng Park in Holmestrand
Bassengparken is a peaceful green recreation area in Holmestrand, originally built as a drinking water reservoir and transformed into a public park in the 1970s.
The park features walking trails around the water basins, rich birdlife and fish in the lakes. The park offers walking routes from 1-2 km.
Bassengparken also includes a playground, picnic area, and tennis court, and the paths are well suited for wheelchairs and strollers.
The park is within walking distance of Holmestrand town centre and the train station via Søndre Sikksakk/Lallahompen or Nordre Klev.
Parking is available by the tennis court in Barlindveien.
