The library is a natural gathering point for young and old, and works both as a school library and a public library.
Around the venue you will find audience PCs, and there is also a wireless connection where you can connect with your own PC. Throughout the year there are many events in the form of e.g. family performances, author visits and vice evenings. You can come here to borrow e.g. books, audiobooks and films, or you can sit in the newspaper corner with a cup of coffee and relax.
Holmestrand Library has its own cafe.
In the summer, there are opportunities to play chess with large pieces in the square outside the library, and run through the exciting fountain.
At Tønsberg and Færder library you will find books and other media for children, young people and adults.
In addition, they offer events, exhibitions, a reading room, free internet and interlibrary loans.
The library also has its own department in Tjøme.
Tønsberglivet AS is a limited company owned by Tønsberg municipality, business and other players in the Tønsberg region.
At Horten library you will find children's and youth books, non-fiction books, novels, audio books, newspapers, magazines, films, games and PCs with internet access.
There is also a separate quiet room where you can read and study.
The library also has its own branch in Åsgårdstrand. Here it is open every Monday at 16.00 – 19.00. The library is located in Åsgården school's premises and opening hours follow the school's holidays.

Tickets for the events can be bought from TicketCo or at Larvik library – payment by card, tip or cash. Purchased tickets are not refundable. Limited number of tickets.
Parking
It is possible to park, for a fee, in the car park under the library.
WiFi
There is free wireless network throughout the library and you can also borrow a PC on site. The library has the option of copying and printing via the Princh software. You can print from your own mobile, tablet and PC, or you can use the library's public computers. You can also scan and email documents from the library's printer.
