Apartments for rent June-August

Three modern holiday apartments available for rent during summer season.

Garnisonsykehuset (The Garrison Hospital in Stavern) is part of the naval base Fredriksvern, and an exciting part of Norwegian hospital and defense history, one of the country's oldest preserved hospitals. The apartments have recently been renovated by Fortidsminneforeningen

The apartments are rented for a minimum of two days. Prices start from NOK 1500 per day.

Apartment "Blokkhus": 2 bedrooms plus living room, kitchen, and bathroom (Sofa bed in the living room. Can accommodate up to 6 people).

Studios: "Fjerdingen" and "Telegrafen": A room with a bed, dining area, wardrobe, kitchen, and bathroom.

The apartments include:

– Duvets and pillows for 2 people in the studio apartments and for 4 people in the apartment with two bedrooms. Note: All bed linens and towels must be brought by the guest.
– The apartments are equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, and washing machine.

Additional charges:

– Final cleaning NOK 650
– If you bring a dog: Additional cleaning NOK 250
– Extra bed with duvet and pillow NOK 100 per day, minimum NOK 500
– Rental of bed linens and small and large towels NOK 350 per set
– Parking in reserved spots in the backyard: NOK 500 for one week
Members of the Fortidsminneforeningen can park for free by providing an active membership number.

Studio: One room + kitchen and bathroom.

Duvets and pillows for 2 people in the studio apartments and for 4 people in the two-bedroom apartment. Mr. All bed linen and towels must be brought by the tenant. The apartments have a dishwasher, fridge, cooker and washing machine.

Horten Apartment

Horten Apartment with its 35 rooms is a modern living concept with low prices. Horten Apartment offers tasteful rooms with a fully equipped mini kitchen, private bathroom, a comfortable bed, a good chair, a desk and a wardrobe, for long and short term rentals for both private individuals and companies.

From June 2025, Horten Apartment will increase its capacity to 88 rooms/apartments. All rooms have their own kitchen and private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Bed linen and towels. Kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and stovetop, as well as cutlery, crockery and pots.

Horten Apartment combines simplicity with comfort, low prices and a central location in Horten. If you want to spend your money on things other than minibars and room service, Horten Apartment is the place for you. Horten Apartment has its own laundry room with washers and dryers, free wifi and parking.

Horten Guest Harbour

Horten guest harbour has a short distance to restaurants, shops and shopping center.

All amenities available
Horten guest harbour has 90 berths available and offers everything you need of facilities. Attached to the harbor is a service building with toilet, shower, washing machines and easily accessible self-service fuel systems (only diesel). Diesel fillets are payable in the restaurant Fishland.

Waste transfer and wireless internet are also part of the facilities at Horton Gjestehavn.

Hvasser Motell

Hvasser Motel – location and history

The motel is driven by the Schøning-Olsen family third generation. “Fjeldhøi” was built in 1917 by Henrik Torgersen, where the main business was post and phone service. When Sigvart Schøning-Olsen got the estate in 1933, he changed the business to the accommodation sector. In 1936 it was a guesthouse, then in 1978 it was changed to a motel and the annex was torn down.

Cabin and communal area
The cabins are spread out on a 8.000 m2 property, with a nice cosy garden with old fruit trees and roses. There is activities such as volleyball and a playground for the children. The beach is 150 m walking distance away, perfect for small children. Grocery store (year round) and different restaurants (open during summer) is 150 m from the motel.

The cabins are 35-40 m2 and all have living room with kitchen, 2 bedrooms with 4-6 beds, bathroom with shower and toilet. The cabins are equipped with kitchen utensils, duvet and pillows (bed covers is for rent), TV, outdoor furniture and barbeque. In the main house there is a communal living room, freezer opportunities and laundry room.

All the cabins have been renovated over the last few years, such as the kitchen and bathroom. Nine cabins are open during the winter as well, and is usually rented over a long period of time.

During the summer the main guest are families that enjoy the summer with sun and beach.

Animals
Dogs are welcome.

Group activities
Hvasser Motel is perfect for groups, family gatherings and associations, where its possible to rent multiple cabins and the communal living room, where the guest can either have dinner party or have seminars. There is a lot of different activities in Hvasser and Tjøme. Such as scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, bow and arrow, hiking, climbing, horse riding and golf.

Thon Hotel Horten

Thon Hotel Horten consist of 88 rooms with 176 beds, all of the 88 rooms and most public areas have recently been renovated and upgraded. The hotel offers single rooms, double rooms and business rooms. A bar and à la carte restaurant with outdoor seating during the summer. There is also a lounge on the first floor with view of Oslofjord.

Thon Hotel Horten is expanding!

In spring 2027, guests can check in to the hotel’s new extension. The expansion will bring the total number of rooms to 186, including suites with views of the Oslofjord.

The hotel offers free Wifi and guest parking.

Conferences and events
Thon Hotel Horten can help you arrange a business meeting, no matter if you are representing a company, the public sector or a voluntary organisation. The hotel has capacity for everything between 2 -200 people.

The hotel was renovated and upgraded in 2016, the rooms, the restaurant, the bar, lobby and meeting rooms was upgraded. The big room Fjordsalen can be divided into two rooms if needed. New equipment for videos, sound and microphones. The hotel has two big and spacious conference rooms and two group rooms on the first floor.

Services
Golf packages, Borre Golf Club, museums, sights and a coastal trail are nearby. Also available nearby is taxi service, pubs, restaurants, shopping centres, beaches, fishing and boat-trips.

Caravansite by the harbour in Sandefjord

Sandefjord Motorhome Park has access from both the Strandpromenaden and Sandefjordsveien, and is located right by the sea and Sandefjord's new bathing facility. There are 13-14 places with power, filling options for water, emptying station for septic and rubbish, and a petrol station with long opening hours. Brand new sanitary facility with WC / shower and washing machine right next door.

There is only a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants and Sandefjord town center. The ferry terminal for Color Line is only 300m from Sandefjord Motorhome Park. Across the road you will also find a swimming pool and shower at Scandic Park Sandefjord.

Payment is made on Vipps, or credit card on arrival. Drop-in only, no pre-booking is possible.

Blokkebukta Camping

Location
12 km from Larvik. 30 minute drive from Torp airport – 45 minutes from Tønsberg – 1½ hour from Drammen and ½ from Grenland-area.

Blokkebukta Camping is a family-owned camping with history back to 1920’s when Mathilde Lunde was the owner. She is the grandmother of the current owner Roar Lunde.

Camping
Blokkebukta camping has room for 325 caravans and tents. Overnight stays can be booked via Campall. The campsite is located in a nice area with 2 playgrounds for the children and fishing opportunities. Grocery store/streetfood is avaliable. Blokkebukta is a family campsite where it should be quiet from 23.00

Cabins
Blokkebukta has 3 cabins for rental. The cabins were renovated in the spring of 2007. The cabins are equipped with a fridge, stove, cable-TV, radio, dishwasher and a washing machine. They are big and spacious.

Apartments
The apartments are 65 kvm with 2 bedrooms and 6 beds. The apartments are equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, washing machine, electricity and water. TV, terrace, outdoor furniture and barbeque. No smoking!
The cabins and apartments are located outside Blokkebukta Camping and can be rented weeks at a time, Saturday to Saturday.

The Area
Blokkebukta is a short walking distance to Helgeroa pier with 2 restaurants, a ferry to Langesund and more. Modern sanitary installments with toilet, shower, laundry room and kitchen. Dumping grounds and a nice harbour for small boats. Beautiful coastline paths to Nevlunghavn.

Directions
Follow 302 from Larvik towards Helgeroa. After about 15 min. turn right towards Helgeroa. Follow the signs to Blokkebukta.

Season
May 1st – August 31st.

Sandefjord Guest harbour

Sandefjord Guest Harbour has about 60 places with depths from 2.5 m to 4 m power and water. The boats moored with bow or stern to the quay.

The harbour is very well protected from the weather from all sides. Close to downtown, 20 minutes to Sandefjord Airport Torp and ferry several times daily to Strømstad.
