Open Sunday at Ilene

Ilene is open, with outdoor activities every Sunday from April 12 to June 14 and from August 16 to October 25.

On some Sundays, an extended program is offered.

Theme days:

May 31: Bird Day, including a bird song walk in Gullgronene
June 14: Plant Day
August 16: Small Creatures Day
August 30: Migratory Bird Day
September 27: Mushroom and Squirrel Day
October 26: Nature workshop, where bird food and birdhouses will be made

Activities for children

The Aluminum Museum in Holmestrand welcome an exhibition as modern and forward-looking as the aluminum industry is. The Aluminum Museum, which is a department of the Vestfold Museums, opened in 2002 and is the only one in Norway to have told the rich Norwegian tradition of further processing aluminum. The museum also communicates the industry's value chain and product development from the very beginning to today's high-tech business.

In an exciting exhibition architectural environment with parallels to innovation and development, the metal's properties and Holmestrand's history are communicated in a national and global perspective.

With the help of modern dissemination methods, digital solutions and updated design, the audience, regardless of age and gender, ethnic background and knowledge, is welcomed by the Aluminum Museum.
