Nordre Bergan Gård – Raet Sideri

Nordre Bergan Farm is beautifully located in Råstad, Sandefjord, just a 10-minute walk from Råstad (Torp) train station. Here, farming traditions are combined with local production and authentic taste experiences.

The farm primarily grows apples, pumpkins and grain. Its own beehives contribute to pollination and provide honey for the farm shop. In the on-site pressing facility and cider cellar, apple juice and cider are produced from the farm’s own apples.

The farm has a long history, with apple cultivation dating back to the 1950s and pumpkin production since 1999. Today, Nordre Bergan Farm is run by Mikkel and Tomine, who took over in 2024.

Apple juice
The apple juice is made from the farm’s own apples, unfiltered and without additives. It is produced from single varieties such as Aroma, Elstar, Summerred, Gravenstein and Discovery, as well as pollination varieties like Katja and Golden Delicious. The juice is pasteurised during bottling to ensure a long shelf life.

Raet Cider
Through Raet Cider, the entire process is handled on-site – from growing and caring for the apple trees to pressing and fermenting the cider. This small-scale, craft-based approach ensures full control over quality and results in cider that reflects the local soil, apple varieties and seasonal conditions, with freshness, depth and a clear sense of place.

Cider tasting
Cider tastings are available for groups on request.

Honey
The summer honey comes from bees collecting nectar from apple trees and pumpkin fields. Heather honey from Telemark is also available.

Aronia
Aronia berries from Sjue Farm are processed into pure aronia products, as well as blended with apple juice and used in cider.

Farm shop
The farm shop offers seasonal fruit and vegetables, along with the farm’s own apple juice, honey, cider and ice cider throughout the year. In autumn, you will also find pumpkins, ornamental gourds, pickling cucumbers and apples. The shop also carries a selection of locally produced food from other producers.

Open farm days and events are announced on the farm’s Facebook page.

Kvelde Mølle

Kvelde Mølle

In the fertile Lågendalen valley, you’ll find Kvelde Mølle – one of the few remaining rural mills in Norway, with roots dating all the way back to the 1300s. Here, grain has been milled into flour for generations, and the traditions live on to this day.

At Kvelde Mølle, everything is about true craftsmanship. High-quality flour is produced from grain grown by local farmers in Lågendalen and surrounding areas – one of Norway’s best regions for grain production. Stone milling gives the flour a richer flavor, excellent baking properties, and a natural character. This is pure, unblended flour with no additives – honest products with a short journey from field to finished flour.

Kvelde Mølle was among the first in Norway to offer flour labeled “Nyt Norge” (“Enjoy Norway”), and today produces more than 35 different products – from finely milled wheat flour to coarse rye, spelt, and ancient grains.
