Grand Bistro

At Grand Bistro, great food is served with a creative twist. Tasty dishes, where seasonal ingredients and a good dining experience for its guests are in focus when chef Trond Kristian Tørrissen puts together beautiful menus. Grand Bistro is known for its delicious buffets. 

Grand Bar is the hotel's meeting place, a great place to meet or start an event or party, or just for a few games at Grand Bar's Shuffleboard.

When the sun shines and the heat comes to Larvik, Grand Terrasse opens, the hotel's own outdoor dining area. Here you get good food served from Grand Bistro's kitchen, and good drinks, while you enjoy the bustling life of Storgaten with the Larviksfjord lying calmly against the horizon.

Pir 4

Pir 4 serves real Italian pizza in a casual atmosphere in modern premises.

In addition to real wood-fired Italian pizza, Pir 4 has a large drinks menu with cocktails and fine wines, as well as a selection of antipasti dishes, salads and desserts.

Fly Chicken

The restaurant has plenty of space and seatings.

The menu consists of fried chicken served in creative combinations; wings and thighs, fried-chicken burgers and specialties such as the fried-chicken croissant «Fly Mandy». In addition, you will find several varieties of "loaded fries" and a large selection of the house dips and hot sauces.

Parking just outside the door, make it easy to grab a bite to eat in the restaurant or pick up take away. If you want to order the food in advance, it can be done easily on the website.

Taket skybar

Experience Taket (The Roof), Hotel Klubben's exclusive sky bar, which offers an unparalleled view of Tønsberg. This is the place where magical moments are created, from relaxed afternoon tea to lively cocktail evenings. The menu includes snacks, in addition to a drinks menu. In the hotel's restaurant Grenseløs you will find a wide range of food.

The Foyn Restaurant, bar and nightclub is open from lunch to late night.

Foyn Restaurant has a large sunny terrace overlooking the pier, where you can enjoy lunch, dinner or a drink. In the evening, the restaurant slides over to a popular bar and nightclub.

Bar and Nightclub
Music by DJ´s every day during the summer season, as well as on weekends in the winter. 

In the backyard you will find idyllic Foynhagen, a green gem (garden) that is visited by national and international artists during the summer. After the concerts, Foyn and Foynhagen are transformed into Norway's largest nightclub with a capacity of 1950 guests.

The restaurant is newly refurbished.

Gamle Eidsfos Kro (Old Eidsfos Tavern)

The eatery is well known for its good homemade food. Dinner, lunch and light meals are served here, as well as coffee and sweets in cozy surroundings. Gamle Eidsfos Kro is open all year round. In the summer you can sit outside in the pleasant garden.

Owner Beate Bettum is a chef with experience from French cuisine. She is interested in real goods, and that's what you get at Gamle Eidsfos Kro. In intimate and cozy rooms with timber walls, good meatballs and fantastic French macaroons are served, but there are also international dishes and pizza on the menu.

The venerable buildings from the 18th century, which were previously apartments for the ironworks' workers, have been painstakingly restored through the Old Eidsfos Foundation and the owner Beate and her family. Today you can enjoy good old-fashioned food and drink in several cozy living rooms with a view to the garden or Eisfosselva and Lake Eikeren.

Kompasset at Bolærne

Kompasset Café and restaurant has its own children's menu, shellfish buffet and more in the summer season, and simpler dinner dishes outside the main season.

Kiosk with the possibility to buy freshly baked rolls and other kiosk goods.

There is no table reservation, but groups of more than 15 people must get in touch before arrival.

Hotell Karljohansvern og Horten Storstue

Restaurant Karljohansvern
Restaurant Karljohansvern is the hotel's restaurant and is open daily for lunch and dinner. Set in historic surroundings, it welcomes both hotel guests and visitors, whether dining alone or gathering with family, friends, or colleagues. The kitchen is open from 12:00 to 20:00 every day, except Sundays when the restaurant closes at 18:00.

The menu is based on seasonal ingredients sourced from local suppliers and producers, with inspiration drawn from both Norwegian and French cuisine. The kitchen prepares its own stock-based sauces, and dishes vary throughout the year according to the season's available ingredients.

A seasonal three-course menu is offered daily, based on the chef’s selection. The menu also includes open sandwiches topped with prawns or beef patties, along with a selection of à la carte dishes that change throughout the year.

The wine list features wines from several of Europe's classic wine regions. The hotel's breakfast buffet is served daily from 07:30 and is open to both hotel guests and non-residents.

Garden Dining
During the summer season, guests can enjoy food and drinks in the hotel garden overlooking Karljohansvern and the fjord.

Private Events and Functions
The hotel's function rooms, Kongesalen and Biblioteket, are available for weddings, anniversaries, memorial gatherings, confirmations, private celebrations, and corporate events. The team assists with planning and arranging both small and large gatherings.

Throughout the year, the hotel also hosts a variety of themed events and experiences, including Afternoon Tea, Winemaker's Dinners, concerts, and seasonal events.

On-Site Brewery
Located in the basement of Hotell Karljohansvern, the hotel's own brewery produces a range of beers, from light pilsners to darker stouts. The beers are served in the restaurant and can be paired with dishes from the menu.

Bedehuset

The restaurant is dedicated to good ingredients, preferably local. Here, honest food is served, made by conscious, dedicated and inspired chefs. The menu is therefore governed by seasonality and availability of raw materials. Bedehuset even has its own IPA, brewed exclusively for the Bedehuset.

The unique building from 1875 was respectfully converted from a prayer house to a restaurant in 2013. Now people gather around good food and drinks here.
