Holmestrand marina is operated by HSDA and has approximately 1.100 permanent boat places. There is also good capacity at the winter port, in whirlpools.

HSDA also operates the guest harbor and motorhome parking, on behalf of the municipality of Holmestrand. Here you will find plenty of space, and servicebuildings. In the area there is a breakwater which is a popular for fishing. 

In walking distance you will find Dumpen, which is a very popular spot for swimming. 

Inside the train station you can take the elevator up to the top and get a spectaular view of the city, the barbor and the fjord.

Hotell Karljohansvern, Sjømilitære Samfund is located in the historic naval district of Karljohansvern in Horten, close to the Oslofjord and Horten Canal. The hotel has 45 guest rooms divided between a historic main building dating from 1883 and a newer hotel wing. Stay surrounded by Norwegian naval heritage, with dining, museums and coastal walks nearby.

Historic rooms and modern comfort
The hotel offers single rooms, double rooms, Deluxe rooms and suites. The newer Carl Johan wing, approximately 50 metres from the main building, contains 39 rooms with modern furnishings, private bathrooms, desks, TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi. The historic main building houses six guest rooms, including two King Suites. These suites combine traditional interiors with a double bed and a separate sitting room. Four accessible guest rooms are available in the newer wing. Guests with specific accessibility requirements are advised to contact the hotel before booking.

Dining in historic surroundings
The hotel restaurant is located in the main building, where the dining room has been restored to reflect its appearance in 1883. Lunch and dinner are served here, with seasonal dishes and ingredients sourced from local producers. The kitchen prepares most dishes from scratch, offering open sandwiches, traditional dishes and an à la carte menu. The hotel also has its own brewery, with house-brewed beer available in the restaurant.

Discover historic Karljohansvern
Sjømilitære Samfund was founded in Stavern in 1835. When the Norwegian Navy's main base moved to Horten, the society followed. The present main building was completed in 1883 and became a gathering place for naval officers, dinners and social events. Today, guests can stay in the heart of this maritime heritage district. The Naval Museum and Preus Museum are nearby, along with green spaces, coastal walking paths and the waterfront. Horten town centre, with its shops, cafés and other attractions, is also within walking distance.

Meetings and celebrations
Hotell Karljohansvern offers meeting and event spaces in both historic and modern surroundings. Conferences, weddings and private gatherings can be combined with dining and accommodation. Food and drink
The restaurant is located in the historic dining room and serves lunch and dinner featuring seasonal dishes and locally sourced ingredients. The hotel also has its own brewery. Regular restaurant hours are Monday–Saturday, 12 noon–8 pm. Sunday service varies seasonally, so check the current opening hours and book a table in advance.

Facilities
The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and historic lounges. Meeting and event facilities include Kongesalen and Biblioteket, alongside modern conference rooms. Museums, green spaces and walking trails around Karljohansvern are within easy walking distance.

The hotel is located at Øvre vei 1, 3183 Horten. Parking is available in the area, and Horten town centre is within walking distance. Engøy Gjestegård

Engøy Gjestegård has double rooms and single rooms for rent in the restored brewery house from the beginning of the 18th century. The inside has been refurbished and you get to experience the history of the building. 

Kristin Havsjømoen and Tom Aarøe are the owners and hosts of Engøy Gjestegård.

History
There have been people living in the area since the Viking Age. The farm has a history as far back as the 17th century and was the ideal farm close to the ocean. Those who lived here in acient times had their work on the farm, they went on fishingtrips and several worked as skippers on sailboats. 

On Mølleråsen, a short walk from the farm you will find the farm's mill, wich was set up in the early 1800s, and was probably one of thef first in Sandefjord. From Mølleråsen there are great views to the south and the large foundation stones are still there with their history. On a path below the mill there are also foundation bricks for the mill boy's house.

Havna Hotel & Sjøbad offers its own guest marina with more than 70 boat berths. The marina is located next to the main hotel building, with easy access to all facilities and activities on the property.

Havneweb
Havna Guest Marina is available exclusively through booking and payment via the Havneweb app. Payment can be made by bank card or Vipps.

Berths can be reserved in advance or booked upon arrival. The Havneweb marina map shows all numbered berths and current availability. Check-in and check-out for berths are daily at 14:00.
Electricity is included with all berths, and fresh water is available on the dock.

Waste sorting is available at designated areas.
Tokens for the washing machine and tumble dryer can be purchased at the hotel reception.

4 km from Sandefjord town center, and 15 km from Torp Sandefjord airport.

Asnes camping has nice swimming possibilities.

The campsite is located at the back of the beaches.

Løvøya Oslofjord

Løvøya is situated in a warm and lush area. There is a distinctive geology and beautiful spruce forests with a lot of exciting plant and animal life.

Camping
Løvøya Oslofjord offers over 100 caravan pitches spread across eight beautiful, terraced areas, most with sea views and convenient access to electricity. Each area has its own toilet facilities, and all pitches are located close to restrooms, the café and swimming areas. You can book a pitch for both short and long stays. The Furulund area also offers the most affordable overnight spots in Horten.

At the heart of the campsite lies the historic Løvøya Chapel with the Olav Spring, which is part of the Pilgrim’s Route. This unique location offers a very special atmosphere and tells the story of Løvøya as a pilgrimage site dating back to the Middle Ages. Løvøya is also located within a short distance of Borre Golf Course, Borre Park with its Viking burial mounds and historical center, as well as the town of Horten with shops, restaurants and other amenities. Cabins
Løvøya offers two types of cabins. The larger cabins are winter-insulated and have a floor area of 28 square meters plus a spacious loft. Each has two bedrooms, one of them with a family bunk bed, providing accommodation for four to five people. The cabins are equipped with a bathroom with shower and toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, stove with oven, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, a cozy outdoor seating area with a barbecue and a small private lawn.
The camping cabins are fully equipped for up to four people. They have a TV and internet access, with running hot and cold water. Toilets and showers are available in a modern sanitary facility nearby. These cabins also have a nice outdoor seating area with a barbecue.

Glamping
For those who want a bit more comfort, Løvøya offers 14 spacious glamping tents with sea views. Each tent is furnished with comfortable beds with mattresses, bedding and pillows, and is located close to the sanitary facilities with showers and toilets. Here you can truly enjoy the best of both worlds by combining the feeling of camping with the comfort of a hotel-like experience.

Café and Ice Cream Kiosk
The café and the ice cream kiosk Campis are beautifully located right by the water and offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. The café serves delicious dishes, snacks and drinks and has a full license. The ice cream kiosk offers a large selection of popsicles, soft serve and scooped ice cream, making it a favorite spot for both children and adults. Both the café and kiosk are open every day throughout the summer season.

8 metres above the ground and 100 metres above sea level. The treetop cabins is located in Nordre Vegge outside Horten in Vestfold, only one hour drive from Oslo.

Wake up to the sound of bird song!
An overnight stay in the treetop cabins is an unique experience for both young and old. The beautiful nature – the peace and quiet, the animals, birds and the magic surroundings.

The cabins are idyllically located safely in the pine trees. You can choose between the cabins Ugleredet, Haukeredet, Falkeredet, Ørneredet and Våkeredet, all named after birds who build nests or reside in the area.

About the treetop cabins
The cabins are all isolated for the winter season. Wood burning, bathroom, kitchen, water, stove and fridge. The cabins have duvet and pillows for 8 people and everything else you might need for a comfortable stay up in the trees – surrounded by nature – throughout the year.

There is room for 7-8 people in every cabin. The cabins have two floors, with living room and kitchen, separate shower and bio toilet and a bedroom with a double bed. Through the porch doors you can see the Oslo fjord with a panoramic view. The terrace have handmade furniture. The loft is accessible through a staircase in the living room, it’s windows in the ceiling where you can look up at the stars. The sofa in the living room can be used as a bed, best fitted for children.

Events for companies
The treetop cabins offers an unique experience for companies as well, instead of the usual hotel events. Every cabin has beds for 7 people, however in a business event its recommended with 3-4 people. By renting all the cabins its room for 20 people. Monday – Wednesday is the best days to rent the cabins all together.
